Finally, the wait is over as the inauguration of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office (PDEA RO4A) took place on November 13, 2017 at People’s Center, City of Biñan, Laguna. Mayor Arman Dimaguila, Vice Mayor Gel Alonte and Representative Len Alonte-Naguiat initiated the blessing and ribbon cutting of the said office. Members of the City Council, Barangay officials and members of Philippine National Police (PNP) Biñan headed by P/Supt. Reydante E. Ariza were present to witness and support the activity. On the other hand, Regional Dir. III Archie Grande and other officers of PDEA 4A were also present on the said event; on behalf of C/Supt Aaron Aquino, Atty. John Sosito – Deputy Director General for Administration, attended and delivered a welcome message. There is an Executive Order from the President entrusting PDEA to be the lead agency to fight against illegal drugs. Sosito said that they will focus on the area of law enforcement with full operation approach including prosecution, education, rehabilitation and reintegration. He is also hoping for the comprehensive support and assistance of the LGU to fully eradicate the problems against illegal drugs. “Ang problema sa droga ay lalong lalaganap kapag ang mga mamamayan, mabubuting tao ay magpapasawalang-kibo at magpapasawalang-gawa,” Sosito said. Mayor Arman aims to give our Barangay Captains proper knowledge on how to be a drug-free community; he believes that the City of Biñan can become a drug-free community with the combined endeavor of our PDEA and PNP Officers, as well as, our citizens. “Tayo pong lahat ay nagkakaisa at maniwala po kayo, kayang-kaya po natin alisin at pigilin ang paglaganap ng droga sa ating lungsod. Gusto ko na dumating ang panahon na maging drug-free ang Biñan dahil sa ating pagtutulungan,” he added. Exactly, “Sa Lungsod ng Biñan, Mamamayan ay Maaasahan.”more photos
